Interrelationships
Åsa Kvissberg & Fia Kvissberg
16.07.08 08.08.08
Interrelations is a dialogue between the works of two Swedish artists whose interests converge on the same themes regarding human beings and the way in which they relate.
Åsa Kvissberg investigates the human psyche and especially issues related to women from a feminist point of view.
The works that are part of this exhibition belong to a series called The Weight on Women from the book The prophet by Kahlil Gibran, where he writes about love “Om Kärlek”, happiness, sadness and pain .
Fia Kvissberg, well informed regarding political matters in Chile, deepens and reflects through out her work the impact that having contact with people going through a crisis has produced on her.
Through her work she seeks to reflect “the little being” that we carry within and expresses it from a place of humor and compassion.
Her work also investigates what happens when two people meet under unexpected circumstances. The color and the way of working become protagonists in his work.
